Charles Dickens certainly did not have Rhodes in mind when he wrote his famous book ‘Tale of two cities’, although this island so clearly shows the timeless historical path of two cities that played a key role in the development of the south-eastern Mediterranean. Only a poet or writer could have captured the unparalleled beauty of the imposing rock towering over the village of Lindos.
A visit to Rhodes is not complete without a visit to Lindos. This is not just because of the 3rd-century BC acropolis perched on the hill, or the medieval fortifications that still give the site the importance it deserves, or because of the white houses and labyrinth of alleys of the town just below.

Our arrival in Lindos is estimated around 9 am.The route takes about 40-50 minutes.
In Lindos the estimated time to visit the acropolis and free time is 2.5 hours.
Our next stop is Haraki, a beautiful sandy beach to cool off, about 1 hour.
After 30 minutes we arrive in Rhodes, we visit Mandraki–central port of Rhodes–with a short stop for photos.
Then we stop at Monte Smithi Hill, at the headland of Rhodes.
Next visit to the medieval town of Rhodes, guided tour through the old town and free time, about 2,5 hours

In Lindos, we will visit the ancient castle and spend our free time wandering around the village’s cobbled streets. Our stay is expected to last 2-2.5 hours. Our return to the city of Rhodes will be via the coastal route, passing the springs of Kalithea, where in ancient times residents and visitors were refreshed by the thermal springs.
In the city of Rhodes, we start by crossing the centre of the new town along the central harbour. We cross the hill ‘Monte Smithi’ where the old citadel extended to one of the gates of the medieval city.

After the tour of the old town, we have the opportunity to walk around the commercial area with hundreds of shops where you can find anything you can imagine.If your stomach is rumbling, there are plenty of taverns for all tastes.In total, we will stay for about 3-3.5 hours.
